About the Show and the Host.

Welcome to The Curling Show, the podcast that brings you interviews with the sport's top athletes and the people who shape the game.

The Curling Show isn't a place for up-to-the-minute results -- it's an insightful, unvarnished, opinionated interview show. The host, Dean Gemmell, talks to the top curlers in the game -- along with a few people from curling's governing bodies -- about the latest news, team preparation, upcoming schedules, and past results. It connects fans to the athletes who make our sport so great to watch.

The show is recorded at our studio in Short Hills, New Jersey, about 30 minutes from the Garden State's Plainfield Curling Club. During the off-season, we offer about one show per month. Throughout the winter, we produce a show nearly every week.

While Dean Gemmell has only recently returned to curling on a regular basis, he has never lost his passion for the sport. He was a junior curler in southern Ontario and, at age 20, he was fortunate enough to be the lead on the Quebec team at the 1988 Brier.
