Don Bartlett, returning to the sport on the new Don Walchuk rink. August 6th, 2010

A cagey veteran and the guy who played lead for Kevin Martin through three decades, Don Bartlett is returning to Tour curling next season, playing on a Don Walchuk team that includes young talents Chris Schille and D.J. Kidby. We talked to Don about why he came back, his thoughts on his new rink and the emotions he felt as he watched Kevin Martin and his current team win gold in Vancouver.

Yes, it’s August and curling season is getting closer but there’s still time for off-season training — get yours started by following one of the many programs in Fit to Curl: A Sport-Specific Guide to Training for the World’s Greatest Game by Olympic Gold Medalist John Morris. It’s available at fittocurl.com and at Chapters/Indigo/Coles throughout Canada.
