This edition of The Curling Show offers an 18 minute interview with John Kawaja, one of the top players from the ’80s and ’90s. John talks about the Dream Team from 1983, the differences between that team and the world championship team of 1990, and the way the game has changed over the years. It’s an interesting look back with a curler who helped advance the sport.

Hello Dean,
Ran into your dad at Tim Hortons in Blind River and he mentioned your show so I checked it out and listened to your interview with John Kawaja. Very well done!!! I remember playing against John in the 1983 Brier in Sudbury and the 1990 Brier in the Soo. He was an excellent curler. In any event, well done and hurry hard!!

Eric,
Thanks for your comments on the interview. Sometimes, I think the Tim Horton’s in Blind River is a filter that all the news in Canada has to go through.
Thanks for listening.

Hi Dean. What a great job you are doing with your curling talk show. Next thing you will know TSN will be asking you to do colour for their curling show.
What are your thoughts on the recent change involving dropping CBC from the Brier.
Keep up the good work.
Cheers
Bob

Hi Dean:
I received your web address from your mom, I am so glad I looked you up. I love all the info straight from the curlers mouth. Keep up the good work, looking forward to more interviews,
Vicky

Another great interview. John Kawaja and Russ Howard should have had a shouting match back in the day to see who had the best pipes.
